Job summary

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in blood specimen collection; 3 years preferred.
• Internal candidates with CA Phlebotomy Technician License considered.
• Proficient with LIS and hospital computer systems.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and patient-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Collects samples from inpatients using venipuncture or skin puncture per policy.
• Restocks phlebotomy supplies for all shifts and ensures inventory.
• Delivers specimens to the lab and documents in LIS.
• Performs clerical duties and data entry in LIS with accuracy.
• Maintains a clean, organized work area and supports patient relations.
