Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Clinical Support Tech - Satellite to assist with phlebotomy, specimen collection, and laboratory testing across satellite locations. Responsibilities include performing waived and moderate complexity testing under supervision, reporting results, and maintaining instrument quality.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy knowledge or certification from an approved program.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with lab information systems.
• EKG knowledge or training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived and moderate complexity testing under supervision.
• Performs diagnostic testing and reports results to the provider.
• Maintains quality control and instrument accuracy.
• Conducts EKG procedures for outpatient and inpatient needs.
• Coordinates with main lab staff and nursing/providers to ensure patient care.
• May work at multiple Satellite locations and participate in on-call rotations.
• Ensures tests are prioritized and problems are escalated appropriately.
