Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Clinical Support Tech - Satellite to support phlebotomy, specimen processing, and routine lab tasks across satellite locations. The role emphasizes accurate testing, data entry, and collaboration with lab staff to ensure timely results.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, EKGs for various patients, quality control, and effective communication with providers. Candidates should have phlebotomy training and basic computer skills; on-call rotation may apply.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience or newly graduated from a college approved phlebotomy program.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived and moderate complexity testing accurately and efficiently under supervision.
• Performs diagnostic/analytic testing of specimens and reports results.
• Performs quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instruments.
• Performs EKG procedures for outpatients and inpatients.
• Works with main lab staff and nurses to ensure excellent patient care.
• May require work at multiple Satellite locations and on-call duty.
• Identifies and solves problems with supervisor or coworkers' assistance.
• Adheres to patient safety goals and two patient identifiers.
• Performs phlebotomy and specimen collections per age-related standards and post-collection care.
