Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipunctures, capillary collections and POCT under the Phlebotomy Coordinator. You will help train students and new staff while upholding hospital policies and CAP/CLIA standards.
Requirements include a high school diploma (phlebotomy program preferred), BLS, and a Texas license. A one-year experience is preferred; relocation benefits and career growth are available.

Under the general supervision of the Phlebotomy Coordinator, the Phlebotomist assumes the responsibility for performing venipunctures, capillary blood specimen collections, point of care testing (POCT), and related procedures under the philosophy, policies and procedures established by the hospital and the Department of Laboratory Services. The Phlebotomist, under the guidance of the Phlebotomy Coordinator, will assist in the training and guidance of phlebotomy students and new employees. These responsibilities encompass the internal functioning of the Department and the integration of the Department into the overall functioning of Northwest Texas Healthcare System. The Phlebotomist supports an organizational culture of Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence standards to all customer groups.
