Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of experience in blood specimen collections; 3 years preferred.
• Internal CA Certified Phlebotomy Technician License considered.
• Proficient with LIS and computer applications.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Annual Workplace Violence Prevention Program/Certificate.training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collects specimens from inpatients using venipuncture or skin puncture techniques.
• Restocks phlebotomy supplies for all shifts and maintains inventory.
• Delivers specimens to the lab as needed and ensures proper labeling.
• Performs data entry and uses the LIS computer systems.
• Maintains a clean and organized workplace and communicates with hospital staff.
