Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories in New Mexico is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant Phlebotomist who can work independently with minimal supervision. This role involves performing multiple modalities, with compensation contingent on modalities worked, and the possibility of a paid apprenticeship for candidates without experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; PBT ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of CLA program or comparable program.
• Immunization against Hepatitis B or waiver; PPD test within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain supplies and inventory to perform department functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Demonstrate effective telephone and verbal communication.
• Document critical communications when supervisor is absent.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Participate in on-call coverage for holidays, evenings, and weekends.
