Job summary

Upland Hills Health invites applications for a Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant in the Lab Services Department. The part-time, 0.95 FTE role includes a day shift with weekend and holiday rotation, performing specimen collection, processing, and waived testing.

You will work with physicians, nursing and lab staff to ensure accurate reporting and patient care, with emphasis on customer service and reliable data entry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in computer systems and data entry.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collection, processing, analysis and reporting of waived tests.
• Collect venipuncture and capillary specimens across age groups.
• Collaborate with lab, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Dispense collection kits and manage specimen receipt from internal and external sites.
• Enter lab orders and maintain patient charts; follow SOPs.
