Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 18+ years old.
• Venipuncture experience required and ability to calm anxious patients.
• Knowledge of blood collection techniques and patient communication.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information System (LIS) operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood specimen collection from patients using various techniques.
• Enter and record patient demographics in LIS and manage test orders.
• Discuss ABN with patients as it applies to Medicare coverage.
• Prepare and distribute specimens for in-house or reference testing.
• Evaluate specimens for discrepancies and ensure proper labeling.
