Job summary

Prevea Health is seeking a Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist to support laboratory operations at 1860 Shawano Ave, Green Bay, WI. The role involves performing phlebotomy, specimen processing, and quality control while adhering to lab safety protocols.

Reports to the lab leader and supports patient care. Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen labeling, data entry in Epic/LIS, and assisting in specimen collection procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Proficiency with laboratory computer systems and Epic/LIS is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture on adults, neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Label specimens, verify patient information, and process test orders in the computer system.
• Instruct on urine, stool and other specimen collection and process urine drug screenings.
• Prepare equipment, inventory supplies, and maintain a clean work area.
• Answer phones, maintain logs, files and entry in LIS.
