Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to proficiently perform venipuncture and capillary puncture.
• Familiarity with Epic and Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Excellent communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture on adult, neonatal and pediatric patients. Label specimens and assist in patient care before/after collection.
• Check-in patients and verify information for test orders in the computer system (Epic and LIS).
• Instruct patients on urine/stool/other specimen collection and process specimens for drug testing.
• Prepare equipment, stock supplies, and maintain lab safety and cleanliness.
