Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; phlebotomy program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of full-time phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Certifications: PBT(ASCP) required or eligible within 12 months of employment.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Practices phlebotomy in assigned areas according to CAP, CLIA '88, JCAHO, and organizational policies.
• Performs venipunctures, capillary collections, POCT, and related procedures; trains new phlebotomy staff as needed.
