Job summary

Interpath Laboratory is seeking a Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy, clinical data management, and specimen processing across multiple sites in the Pacific Northwest. This role emphasizes accurate data entry, patient care, and adherence to HIPAA and safety standards.

The position requires a High School diploma and WA MA-P certification, with at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience preferred. Hours are Monday–Friday with flexibility for overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Washington Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy certification (MA-P) required.
• At least 6 months of hands-on phlebotomy experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, answer phones, and monitor instrumentation alarms.
• Perform venipuncture and collect additional specimen types as required.
• Prepare all samples for lab testing and screening; ensure proper labeling.
• Verify specimen information and perform accurate data entry.
• Receive, process, and package samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Follow safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participate in quality assurance.
• Cover work shifts at different sites as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain reliable, punctual attendance to support the team and patients.
