Job summary

Labcorp, a global leader in diagnostic testing, seeks a Phlebotomist to join the team in Stonybrook, NY. The role involves performing venipuncture and capillary collections, handling specimens for various tests, and providing excellent patient service.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with phlebotomy certification or training preferred. Schedule is Monday–Friday with some Saturday rotation, and travel to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or phlebotomy certification or 3 months or more experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or training from an accredited agency.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
