Position Details

Location: Pembroke Pines, FL

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00AM-3:00PM (Rotational Weekends)

Role Overview

The Phlebotomist III Site Lead represents the face of Quest Diagnostics to patients, drawing quality blood samples and ensuring specimen preparation for lab testing. They will lead daily activities at a Patient Service Center or In-Office Phlebotomy, oversee staff, and ensure compliance with procedures. The role requires leadership, excellent phlebotomy skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities

1. Collect specimens according to established procedures.
2. Administer oral solutions and verify test/client information.
3. Manage data entry, billing, and specimen processing.
4. Supervise and mentor staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
5. Participate in special projects and maintain facility standards.
6. Perform Point of Care testing and act as a resource for new employees.
7. Coordinate schedules and communicate with clients and staff effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Strong data entry skills and flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license if applicable.
• Medical training or certification preferred.
• Physical ability to lift objects up to 40 pounds and perform tasks requiring long periods of sitting or standing.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Education & Certifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification required in certain states.
