Clinical Laboratory Company seeks a Phlebotomist III Floater to cover sites around Springfield, VA.

Shift: Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Friday 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Role Overview

The Phlebotomist III - Float represents the face of our company to patients, whether as part of their routine health check or for critical health decisions. This role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.

The position requires direct patient contact, fostering trust and confidence by explaining procedures and performing blood draws skillfully and safely. The Phlebotomist III - Float provides coverage across multiple locations and roles, ensuring daily activities are completed accurately and timely in various settings such as Patient Service Centers, Mobile units, Long Term Care, or In-Office Phlebotomy.

Responsibilities
  • Work and direct daily activities at various sites including doctors' offices, patient service centers, house call environments, and long-term care facilities.
  • Lead and support other staff members, including onboarding new employees and providing mentorship.
  • Serve as a point of contact for staff and contribute feedback to supervisors.
  • Handle complex and high-volume patient practices, requiring advanced phlebotomy skills and excellent customer service, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills across multiple functions.
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively in a high-volume setting.
