Job Description

Clinical Testing company seeks a Phlebotomist III Floater who will cover sites around Wyomissing, PA.

Shift:

Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM and rotating Saturdays 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM

The Phlebotomist III Float represents the face of our company to patients who come to Quest Diagnostics, either as part of their health routine or for insights into health decisions.

The Phlebotomist III Float draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing, following established practices and procedures.

They have direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, explaining procedures, and drawing blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately.

The Phlebotomist III Float is responsible for providing coverage at multiple locations and roles, ensuring daily activities of the Patient Service Center, Mobile, Long Term Care, and In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time.

This role demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.

Responsibilities:
  • Work and direct daily activities in various settings such as doctor’s offices, patient service centers, house calls, long-term care, or as dictated by business needs.
  • Step in for a Phlebotomist III Float and lead one or more Patient Service Representatives on-site.
  • Act as a coach, mentor, instructor, and resource advisor for new employees; provide effective onboarding for new clients.
  • Serve as a point of contact for staff on-site and provide regular input to supervisors or group leads.
  • Work with high-complexity or high-volume practices requiring advanced phlebotomy skills.
  • Handle customer interactions requiring strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration with functions like Sales, Laboratory Testing, IT, Billing, and Logistics.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
