Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to support our client’s healthcare team in Kingsport, TN. The role features a 3-month contract with potential extension and conversion to a full-time position, and a pay rate of $20–$23 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include performing blood collection, processing specimens, and conducting EKGs as needed, with data verification and order entry. Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Ability to perform venipuncture and capillary collection across age groups.
• Reliable specimen processing and accurate data entry.
• Professional and safe patient interaction in a clinic setting.

Job Details

• Schedule: 7:30am-5:30pm Eastern
• Location: Kingsport, TN
• Pay Rate: $20 - 23/hr. Pay rate is based on the year of experience and qualifications of the individual
• Contract Length: 3 months with possibility of extension and conversion into fulltime role

Duties

• Performs blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups
• Performs specimen processing and EKG in a safe, accurate, and professional manner.
• Performs order entry; retrieves and verifies patient collection data and patient special notations using appropriate sources.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
