Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Rockwall, TX, seeks a Phlebotomist II to collect specimens, administer oral solutions, and verify orders using lab systems. The role requires desktop data entry and a flexible schedule with potential weekend rotation. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with rotational weekends.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required per policies.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport preparation).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email).
• Read and follow departmental policies, protocols, procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data compilation when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance, temperature, etc.) promptly.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
