Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist to support blood collection and specimen handling in a clinical lab setting. You will collect, label, and process specimens, explain procedures to patients, and ensure specimens meet ordering requirements.

Responsibilities include following safety protocols, operating basic lab equipment, and assisting with training and workflow improvements as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• HS diploma or GED plus 2–4 years’ related experience in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting, labeling, and storing blood specimens per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate blood collection techniques using straight or butterfly needles.
• Ensure orders are followed and requisitions match specimen tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity during handling.
• Maintain temperature control and proper labeling for all specimens.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations; participate in trainings.
