Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join a fast-paced laboratory in Camas, WA. You will perform venipunctures, collect and process specimens, and communicate clearly with patients across age groups to ensure comfort and safety.

The role requires a valid phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a hospital or lab setting, with strict adherence to OSHA/DEP standards and documentation protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• At least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and blood draws safely and efficiently.
• Collect, label, store, and transport specimens per procedures and test orders.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Ensure requisitions and labels match physician orders for 100% accuracy.
• Label, centrifuge, and prepare specimens as required by tests.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with safety and regulatory standards.
• Attend trainings and stay current with protocols and OSHA/DEP rules.
• Handle inquiries professionally and assist with workflow improvements.
