Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Palatine, IL for a 4-month contract. The role is onsite with pay rate $23.20–$24.90 per hour. Duties include drawing blood, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining patient interactions with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

The position requires high school diploma, phlebotomy skills, and flexibility to cover multiple locations as needed. Travel, weekends, and overtime may be required.

• Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must follow Policies & Procedures including dress code, Employee Health & Safety, and Everyday Excellence.
• Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Travel and flexible hours required to cover multiple locations with minimal notice.
• Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
• Superior Customer Focus; communicate openly with peers, supervisors and patients; adapt to change; knowledge of our business.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Verify patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.
