Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Harleysville, PA. Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with rotational weekends. Pay starts at $23.20 per hour, with eligibility for annual performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification, enter billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing and answering phones.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs in a timely manner.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
