Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for Lexington, MA. The role runs Monday through Friday with varying hours and rotational weekends.

The position involves collecting specimens, maintaining logs, and ensuring accurate data entry in lab systems. The candidate should have three years of phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma, and be eligible for phlebotomy certification where required; driving may be necessary in some situations.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• English communication required.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties like inventory and sanitation.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and comply with policies.
• Assist with statistics and data as needed.
• Complete training courses in a timely manner.
