Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Mount Pleasant, IA, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Pay range starts at $20.00 per hour.

This role involves collecting specimens, performing phlebotomy tasks, and supporting patient care in a busy laboratory. You will use lab technology systems for orders, maintain logs, and handle non-patient duties like inventory and data entry.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and confirm/verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments as required.
