Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Saint Marys, GA is seeking a Phlebotomist II to collect specimens, perform required tests, and support laboratory operations. The position runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rotational weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test/client orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, and phones/emails.
• Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies/procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission as needed.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
