Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Encinitas, CA, with a state phlebotomy license requirement. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with pay range of $28.90-$31.85 hourly. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus. Qualifications include three years of phlebotomy experience and a high school diploma; certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation and, if applicable, a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete trainings timely.
