Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. in Oceanside, CA is hiring a Phlebotomist I to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. A state phlebotomy license is required in CA; NHA licenses are not accepted.

Pay range is $27.00 to $29.70 per hour, with potential annual bonus, and benefits including medical, retirement plans, and other wellness programs. Minimum education is high school diploma; phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify all orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Ability to navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport as required.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email.
