Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Richmond, MO is seeking a Phlebotomist II for a Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule. You will collect specimens, assist with processing, and support patient services in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify all orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs timely and frequency-based (e.g., maintenance logs, temperature logs).
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
