Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Phlebotomist II Floater in San Jose, CA. The role involves collecting quality blood samples across patient service centers and doctors' offices, with travel as needed. The position requires a state phlebotomy license and offers a robust total rewards package.

The role is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a rotational 3rd Saturday. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is included for external applicants, and the pay range is $28.85–$34.40 per hour.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required (pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).
• 2+ years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy duties across assigned territories and patient service centers.
• Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Collect specimens per procedures (drug screens, biometric screenings, insurance exams).
• Enter billing information and collect payment when required.
• Coach, mentor, and serve as on-site resource for new staff; report to group lead or supervisor.
• Travel to additional doctor’s offices or Patient Service Center sites as needed.
