Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our Mandeville, LA team. The role involves collecting specimens, performing phlebotomy tasks, and adhering to laboratory procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screenings, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments following corporate policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient-facing duties: inventory, supplies, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and related documentation.
