Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Wheeling, IL for an evening schedule (Mon–Thu 3:00 PM–7:30 PM) with occasional rotation to Friday or Saturday. Pay ranges from $21.75 to $24.90 per hour, with a possible shift differential of 10% or 15% for second/third shifts.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available weekends/holidays/on-call/overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, etc).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contacts.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Label, centrifuge, aliquot, freeze, and prepare specimens for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails).
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete trainings timely.
