Quest Diagnostics in McHenry, IL seeks a Phlebotomist II for a Monday–Thursday schedule with rotating Fridays or Saturdays. Required: 3 years phlebotomy experience, high school diploma, and valid driver's license if applicable. Certification preferred; bilingual abilities a plus.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Review test and client information and verify orders using lab systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain ID and enter billing information; collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols, procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs.
• Complete training courses timely.
