Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for Sycamore, IL, working Monday to Thursday 3:00 PM–7:30 PM with rotating Fridays and Saturdays, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. The role offers a pay range of $21.75–$24.90 per hour and potential shift differentials of 10%/15% for second/third shifts, plus annual bonus eligibility.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, billing, and laboratory processing.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain and enter billing information and collect payments as required.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stock, cleaning, phones, email).
• Read and comply with department policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics/data submission.
