Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Phlebotomist II for a Monday–Friday 5:00 AM–1:30 PM shift with rotational weekends. Three years of phlebotomy experience, data-entry skills, and a willingness to work flexible hours are required; certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible availability, weekends/holidays/on-call/overtime.
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Medical training preferred; CA/NV/WA require certification.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contacts.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing info and collect payments following policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions as required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and related records.
• Complete training courses online and in person promptly.
