Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Georgetown, TX is hiring a Phlebotomist II to collect specimens, process samples and support patient testing. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional weekends and a strong emphasis on accurate data entry and compliance with lab protocols.

The role requires three years of phlebotomy experience, valid driver’s license, and reliability. Training and certification options are available in line with state requirements.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Contribute to statistics and data reports when needed.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
