Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Palmdale, CA. The role requires a state phlebotomy license and a standard Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekends.

The pay range is $25.80 to $27.65 per hour, with potential annual bonus based on performance. Primary responsibilities include collecting specimens, managing lab data, and ensuring accurate labeling and processing of samples, while adhering to policy and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience (pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections).
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information, collecting payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, and emails.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
