Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Palmdale, CA. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotating weekends. A state phlebotomy license is required; CA, WA, NV have license nuances.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Review and verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, sanitation, filing, phones and email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and comply with policies and procedures.
• Complete online and in-person trainings timely.
