Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Shenandoah, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist II to collect specimens, perform testing-related tasks, and support patient care. The role is Monday to Friday 7:30 AM–4:30 PM with rotational weekends and pays $20.80+ per hour, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.

This position requires at least three years of phlebotomy experience, strong data-entry skills, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab technology systems and client information.
• Navigate computers and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments where required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, stock, sanitation, filing, phones, email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
