Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Auburn, MA, with Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM and rotating weekends. The role collects specimens, confirms orders in lab systems, and enters data accurately.

Training and certifications are valued, with a path toward growth in diagnostics and patient care. The candidate should have at least three years of phlebotomy experience, data-entry proficiency, and willingness to work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available on weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Verify orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory and answering phones.
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy and maintenance logs.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
