Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Santa Fe, NM, Mon-Fri, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Pay range is $20.00 - $24.00 per hour. Performs specimen collection, data entry, and lab processing in a patient-focused environment.

Requires three years of phlebotomy experience and strong computer skills; high school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy certification preferred depending on location. Company offers comprehensive benefits and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and confirm/verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately to succeed in this role.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information, collect payments when required, per policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, phones, and emails.
• Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data as required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs timely (maintenance, temperature logs).
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
