Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Beaumont, CA, is seeking a Phlebotomist II to collect specimens, manage lab data, and support patient services in a fast-paced clinical setting. The role requires a state phlebotomy license and includes weekend rotations, with a schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures; includes drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information; collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, emails.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses timely.
