Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends/holidays/on-call/overtime.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record if applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred; CA/NV/WA phlebotomy certs may be required.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Review test/client information and verify orders with lab systems and client contacts.
• Navigate computers and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient duties: stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training courses on time.
