Job summary

Geisinger Clinic is seeking a Phlebotomist II for our Mountain Top location within Geisinger Medical Laboratories. You will perform venipunctures, specimen processing, and ensure accurate registration for testing in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomist must perform venipunctures and skin punctures per CLSI guidelines.
• Ability to obtain blood specimens from neonates to adults.
• Accessioning and processing of specimens; familiarity with lab IT systems.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and comforting demeanor with patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and skin punctures to obtain blood specimens.
• Obtain, process, and register specimens for analysis.
• Maintain quality control and troubleshoot instrument issues.
• Provide phlebotomy coverage to various Geisinger sites as needed.
• Ensure proper specimen labeling and patient identification.
