Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist II for Lake Orion, MI. The role runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rotating weekends. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.

The position requires three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, plus keyboard/data entry skills. Education includes a high school diploma; phlebotomy certification is preferred and required in some states.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments as required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and using email.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data as required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and related records.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
