Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Columbus, OH is seeking a Phlebotomist I to collect specimens, administer oral solutions, and verify orders using lab systems. This on-site role operates Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekend shifts, and offers a compensation structure based on experience and performance.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent; medical training is preferred, and phlebotomy certification is beneficial (required in some states).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required following policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient-facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, and phones/email.
• Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics/data submission when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and training completion.
