Quest Diagnostics Inc. in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Phlebotomist I to work Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM. You will collect specimens, prepare samples and support patient care in a fast-paced lab setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy certification is preferred. One year of phlebotomy experience and customer service skills are a plus. The position offers competitive pay starting at about $20 per hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments following policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, and email.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies.
• Assist with statistics and data submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
• Complete training courses timely.
