Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and order lab tests, review requisitions and enter orders.
• Process and accession specimens; distribute requisitions to departments.
• Collect lab specimens by venipuncture/capillary methods, MRSA swabs, throat cultures, EKGs, urine collection with ≤2% rejection.
• Clarify responsibilities and performance expectations; communicate with supervisor.
• Mentor and train fellow lab assistants.
