Job summary

Labcorp in Dunbar, WV is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques, collect specimens for various tests, and ensure accurate patient data entry.

In this role you will provide excellent patient service, travel to additional sites when needed, and support billing and specimen handling processes while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist."

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
