Job summary

Labcorp in Farmington, WV is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-focused team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary methods for patients of all ages, prepare specimens for testing, and maintain accurate patient data and logs.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3 months of phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
