Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Phlebotomist I to join our patient service centers. The role involves performing routine and special phlebotomy, documenting specimens in our lab systems, and ensuring correct sample collection for diverse patient populations.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and CPR-BLS certification or equivalent. Phlebotomy training is strongly preferred, with opportunities for career growth and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Certification: CPR-BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider required from the AHA and PBT (ASCP) certification preferred.
• Experience: Phlebotomy training experience strongly preferred.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Good communication and organization skills, moderate computer skills needed, reliable transportation to travel between sites required, strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of routine and special phlebotomy procedures as authorized by the Supervisor/Manager/Director.
• Responsible for ordering tests into the Laboratory and Hospital computer systems and documenting Lab receipt of specimens.
• Collect patient specimens in accordance with test requirements and in a manner which is appropriate for the age and/or specific patient population served.
• Collect blood samples for specific tests ensuring volume is adequate and correct tubes are utilized.
